MCS Solutions is a private equity firm founded by Richard van der Knaap and Meirion Jenkins, two trusted and experienced entrepreneurs with a proven track record of helping businesses grow and succeed. We invest in and acquire software companies with a track record of generating revenue and a turnover of at least half a million pounds, with the goal of partnering with entrepreneurs for the long term to help them achieve their goals.

Richard van der Knaap founded MCS Rental Software, a leading provider of rental software with offices worldwide, over 30 years ago. MCS has achieved steady growth through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisition. Today, the company serves numerous clients in the rental software market and employs approximately 60 people. Richard’s passion for developing innovative software solutions and commitment to providing exceptional customer service have been the driving force behind MCS Rental Software’s success.
Meirion
Jenkins
Meirion Jenkins is an experienced managing director and software entrepreneur with a proven track record in sales and business growth. He has over 30 years of experience in winning high-value contracts for B2B application software and services. Meirion founded a mid-range ERP company that he grew to a turnover of nearly £5m and 70 staff before selling to a UK plc.
Meirion was previously engaged on behalf of the UK govt as an international trade advisor, advising UK software companies on how to grow export sales. He led two trade missions to South East Asia with market visits to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
